Meet the Doctors
Dr. Andrew Sparling
Dr. Andrew Sparling joined Dundas Veterinary Services upon graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1999. He practiced both companion and large animal practice for the first three years slowly transitioning into companion animal medicine fully by 2002 when he became a partner in OVVPC. Most of Dr. Sparling’s time is spent at Osgoode Veterinary Services. Dr. Sparling has recently completed a course through the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre and is now certified in Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT) via the College of Animal Chiropractors. Special veterinary interests include VSMT, surgery, dentistry and canine and feline reproduction. Outside of the office, Dr. Sparling has served as a director and president of the Central Canada Veterinary Association and sat on the Animal Health Care facility committee for Algonquin College. He is currently the Assistant Director of Veterinary Services for the Canadian Service Dog Foundation. Andrew, his wife Manon, and their sons Luis and Nathan share their home with an Akita/Boxer cross, a golden retriever and two very hyper cats! His spare time is spent coaching kids sports, attempting to play some as well, camping, playing guitar and researching music of various genres.
Dr. Tracey Blundell
Dr. Blundell, who hails from Labrador City, NL, received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1999 from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro, N.S. In 2003 she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. After graduation she practiced in East Lyme, CT in a small animal practice for 4 years before moving to sunny California where she worked for 2 years in both small animal practice and as a shelter veterinarian. Dr. Tracey then returned to the cold of Canada to be closer to her family and to raise her wonderful son Davis, who is now a very active almost 4 year old. Dr. Blundell joined our team at Osgoode Veterinary Services in April 2011 and plans to stay put for while. She also shares her home with Trevor, the feline escape artist. She enjoys getting out for hikes and walks with Emma and loves to rollerblade and bike...anything that gets her outside!
